This is the least expensive, simplest conversion kit we offer.....and for that matter its lowest price possable on the market, we believe. The cost for this kit is $1495. All of our kits include everything needed , except batteries , to be up and running in a matter of hours upon recieving the components.
 
This second conversion kit uses a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) variable speed controller to increace/decreace the speed of the vehicle. The controller is rated at 400 amps and 48 Volts DC Max.The cost for this kit is $1995 complete , + shipping.
 
This third kit has what we believe to be the best motor contoller available for this set-up. The Alltrax 7245 can controll up to 72 Volts DC and 450 amps , which easily gives 70+ mph on the freeway.The Alltrax controller also comes with programming software and can be connected to live monitoring wth a laptop computer.The cost for this kit is $2495 complete + shipping
 
The heart of our electric cars , and conversion kits is a 15 Kilowatt Electric DC Shunt motor. We use a shunt motor because unlike a series-wound motor, a shunt motor cannot over speed when there is no load and destroy itself. Even though the most common motor for EV's is a series motor , we believe the shunt motor is better for simplicity , cost , and inherant safety. Our motor is rated at 15 kw , 4000-8000 RPM ,and 400 amps continuous. It weighs approx 70 lbs, and is about 75-80% efficient.It also doubles as a generator for power re-gen braking , which can appreciably increace range and again safety.
 
The complete kit components are as follows: *Adapter Plate for vehicle, *Shaft Coupler - Motor to Flywheel, *15 KW 8" dia. Shunt Motor, *High Current Switch Box, *20 ft of #2/0 ga. Wire Cable, *Contactor- Kilovac EV200 (2000 amp rupture 200 amp continuous), *0-150 VDC Volt Meter, *0-500 Amp Meter, *50mv - 500 Amp Shunt, *8 - High Current Ring Terminals, *16 - Battery Cable Terminals, *Fuse - 500 amp slow blow, *Battery Charger - 5-10 amp (adjustable voltage 12-72 VDC) Note: For kits #2 and #3, the Switch Box is replaced with a 0-5k Throttle Box and Controller.
